ANSWER: FAST-KRETE II can be used indoor or out to repair floors, loading docks, ramps, driveways, sidewalks, stairways and traffic aisles. QUESTION: What constitutes a surface that's unsound for FAST-KRETE II? In other words, when is it too far gone? ANSWER: When there is no substrate. No base. When it is loose and rocky do not apply FAST-KRETE II. You need a solid concrete surface. Also, do not apply when the surface is oily. QUESTION: What kind of special preparation is needed? ANSWER: The surface must be clean. Free of oil, dirt and grease. If it is oily and the oil does not clean up, FAST-KRETE II is not recommended. QUESTION: When does on use FAST-KRETE or FAST-KRETE II? ANSWER: FAST-KRETE is used to patch holes - at least two inches deep. FAST-KRETE II is a "resurfacer" and may be featheredged for an application a quarter of an inch thick or less. QUESTION: What is the temperature range at application time? ANSWER: The temperature must be above freezing. QUESTION: What if rain is imminent at application time? ANSWER: FAST-KRETE II is a "water-cure" system. Rain will not hurt a new application. QUESTION: How long does it take for FAST-KRETE II to cure? ANSWER: Allow 48 hours for proper curing. QUESTION: Do I have to mix the entire 5 gallons all at once? If not, how much activator does one use? ANSWER: The entire 5 gallons does not have to be mixed at once. Use as much activator as it takes to get a mortar consistency. QUESTION: Once mixed must the material be used right away? ANSWER: Yes - use right away. QUESTION: What color does FAST-KRETE II dry to? ANSWER: It hardens to a concrete gray finish. QUESTION: Are special tools required? ANSWER: No. Just commonly used cement finishing tools and a bucket for mixing. QUESTION: Is FAST-KRETE II oil and gas resistant? ANSWER: Yes. It is unaffected by those materials.
