QUESTION:   What is WHITE-STAR?

ANSWER:      An exterior coating that is designed for metal roofs and sidewalls.  WHITE-STAR is made from select synthetic rubbers, UV inhibitor Tinuven and anti-oxidant Irganox, which cures to a seamless rubbery membrane.

QUESTION:   How easy is it to apply WHITE-STAR?

 ANSWER:     Anyone can effectively apply WHITE-STAR by roller with professional results.  Complete directions are furnished on each container.  High cost outside contractors are never necessary.

 QUESTION:  How long will WHITE-STAR last?

 ANSWER:     We estimate from 2 to 3 times the life of conventional coatings, due to the special formulation of synthetic rubbers combined with UV inhibitor Tinuven and anti-oxidant Irganox.

QUESTION:   What about color durability?

 ANSWER:     WHITE-STAR is extremely colorfast and fade proof.  It will provide you with a beautiful roof that keeps its beauty for years.

 QUESTION:  Will WHITE-STAR seal pinholes on metal surfaces?

 ANSWER:     Yes.  And WHITE-STAR has the ability to “bridge” hairline cracks, maintaining a continuous waterproof membrane.

QUESTION:   Is a primer ever needed with WHITE-STAR?

 ANSWER:     Here’s where we really out-distance the competition.  WHITE-STAR is a ONE COAT, one-step process.

QUESTION:   When do you recommend WHITE-STAR?

 ANSWER:     WHITE-STAR is recommended for anyone who has a metal roof or sidewall that they want to beautify, waterproof, prevent further rust and corrosion and save energy.

QUESTION:   How does WHITE-STAR perform under extreme expansion and contraction?

 ANSWER:     Excellent.  Because it’s made from select synthetic rubbers, WHITE-STAR is far superior to conventional coatings under these conditions.

 QUESTION:  What about WHITE-STAR’s resistance to industrial fumes and salt air?

 ANSWER:     High chemical resistance.  WHITE-STAR is unaffected by salt air, fumes, acid rain and high humidity.  Withstands sunlight that causes early breakdown in other conventional coatings.

 QUESTION:  Can you apply WHITE-STAR over a new metal roof?

 ANSWER:     We recommend allowing a new metal roof to age at least on year.

 QUESTION:  Can you apply WHITE-STAR over a painted surface?

 ANSWER:     Surface must be clean and dry.  On previously coated surfaces, the old coating must have firm adhesion to the surface.  WHITE-STAR requires a solid, sound surface for maximum results.

 QUESTION:  How long does it take WHITE-STAR to dry?

 ANSWER:     To touch, 2 to 3 hours.  Throughout, 3 days.

 QUESTION:  Can WHITE-STAR be used on Mobile Homes too?

 ANSWER:     Yes.   WHITE-STAR is always the first choice.  But SILVERLEAF is an economical choice.  Some homeowners prefer the way SILVERLEAF maintains the roof's metallic appearance.
